La Demoiselle ô Bois is a rural gîte that can accommodate up to 9 people .
This fully renovated old stone farmhouse features:
- 4 comfortable bedrooms;
- 3 bathrooms;
- large living spaces;
- a fully equipped kitchen.
With its spacious rooms and warm atmosphere, our cottage is perfect for families, groups of friends or reunions with loved ones.
What amenities are available in the cottage?
La Demoiselle ô Bois has been designed to offer you a comfortable stay, while allowing you to travel lighter.
You will find, in particular:
- a fully equipped kitchen;
- a dishwasher;
- a washing machine;
- a tumble dryer;
- 2 hair dryers;
- Wi-Fi;
- two Smart TVs (in the living room and the games room);
- a terrace with garden furniture;
- a barbecue;
- a pétanque court.
The beds are made upon your arrival so you can immediately enjoy your stay.
However, bath towels are not provided: remember to pack them in your luggage.

- a large, wooded garden of 30 ares to fully enjoy the outdoors.
On the program: billiards or darts, board games, pétanque, barbecue, drinks on the terrace or simply moments of quiet relaxation facing nature.

On site, you can enjoy:

This is a real advantage for travelers with pets: your companions can enjoy the outdoors in peace and quiet while you enjoy the terrace, the barbecue or the surrounding calm.
The forest, accessible directly from the cottage, also allows for beautiful walks starting from the house.

Is the cottage equipped to accommodate a baby?
Yes, we provide everything you need free of charge to make your stay with a baby easier.
Depending on your needs, you can have:
- 3 baby beds;
- 2 high chairs;

- tableware suitable for children.
Children's games are also available on site.

What is the minimum length of stay in your holiday cottage near Chimay?
La Demoiselle ô Bois is generally available for a minimum stay of 2 nights.This makes it easy to organize a nature weekend near Chimay or a short getaway with family or friends.
Depending on the time of year, certain conditions of stay may apply. During school holidays, the end-of-year holidays, or certain periods of high demand , a longer minimum stay may be required (for example, 4 nights or one week).
We invite you to check availability at the time of your booking or to contact us to find out the conditions applicable to your dates.
What does the rental price of the cottage include?
At La Demoiselle ô Bois, we have chosen to offer a clear and transparent formula so that you can prepare your stay with complete peace of mind.
The rental price includes:
- the end-of-stay cleaning package;
- bed linen with beds made up upon your arrival;
- the costs associated with the stay;
- access to all the facilities of the cottage;
- We welcome your dogs and cats at no extra charge .
However, bath towels are not provided: remember to bring your own for your stay.
The only additional mandatory contribution is the tourist tax , imposed by the Province of Hainaut:
- €1.54 per adult per night ;
- Free for children under 18.
This tax is collected during your stay in accordance with current regulations.
What payment methods are accepted for booking the cottage?
Several payment options are available:
- payment by bank card;
- payment by bank transfer;
- Payment in installments via Klarna.
You choose your payment method when you book.
Is a security deposit required for renting the cottage?
Yes, a deposit of €350 is required for reservations made directly with La Demoiselle ô Bois.
For some bookings made via external platforms, the terms and conditions may differ depending on the platform's own terms and conditions.
What are the cancellation and refund conditions for a stay at the gîte?
We understand that unforeseen circumstances can sometimes lead you to change your holiday plans. That's why we've chosen to clearly present our cancellation policy.
In case of cancellation of your stay:
- ✅ More than 61 days before your arrival : 100% refund of the amount paid;
- ✅ Between 31 and 60 days before your arrival : 70% refund of the amount paid;
- ⚠️ Less than 31 days before your arrival : no refund will be issued.
These conditions apply to bookings made directly with La Demoiselle ô Bois.
For bookings made via external platforms, cancellation conditions may vary according to the rules specific to each platform.
What are the arrival and departure times for the cottage?
Arrivals are from 5pm on the day of your stay.
Departure is possible until 9pm on the day of your departure.
This late departure is a real advantage: you can fully enjoy your last day without having to leave the cottage in a hurry in the morning.
You can still enjoy a walk in the forest, a meal on the terrace or a few hours of relaxation before hitting the road again.

Located in Seloignes, a few minutes from Chimay, La Demoiselle ô Bois is easily accessible by car and is also an ideal starting point for travellers wishing to explore the region by bike.

The car remains the easiest way to reach our cottage.
Our address is easily identifiable on navigation apps like Google Maps and Waze . You can therefore arrive directly at the cottage and take advantage of the private parking available for your vehicles.
🚆 Arriving by public transport
It is possible to reach La Demoiselle ô Bois by public transport, but this requires some planning.
The nearest train station is Couvin . From there, you need to continue your journey by bus to Seloignes .

Is the cottage accessible to people with reduced mobility?
La Demoiselle ô Bois is a renovated old farmhouse and is not entirely suitable for people with reduced mobility.
However, three bedrooms are located on the ground floor (with one step up), which may make some stays easier depending on the needs.
