 The 3 Valleys steam railway is a 14 km long standard gauge Belgian tourist railway, created in 1973, and which operates in the Walloon Region in particular the Mariembourg - Treignes section of line 132 ( Charleroi to Vireux- Molhain , in France ). The Musée du Malgré-Tout is an archeology museum based on Prehistory and Antiquity. He settled in the premises of the old power plant Treignes and takes its name from the locality. Since then, he has been carrying out excavations in the Viroin region, which are the basis of regional archeology collections. The Museum also offers visits to three remarkable archaeological sites. The other exhibition spaces are constituted by the gallery of the evolution of Man and his techniques in Prehistory, the Park of Prehistory which presents reconstructions of prehistoric habitats as well as by a temporary exhibition hall. The Museum also has one of the most complete archaeological libraries in Belgium as well as a molding workshop.

   Dear visitors,    We would like to inform you that the Caves of Neptune will be closed temporarily in 2025, for the construction of the "" Maison de la Forêt "". The archictects  imagined a originale architecture, a sort of ""tree house"" made of materials borrowed directly from the world of the living and built according to a plan inspired by the anatomy of a tree. A géothermal heating system will provide the building with power and echo the tree's roots, further connecting the ""Maison de la Forêt"" to its environment while reducing its carbon footprint. This new building will allow us to better welcome you and offer you a complete experience. Outside, the Mont des Senses will be given a facelift with the aim to making it an eco-pedagogical trail worthy of the name. Without forgetting the traditional détour through the caves and its famous boat trip.
